sale of Green Hills Pool

News

Yes, the Green Hills Pool is no longer community property. It was listed for sale with a realtor on August 10. After a bidding war the highest bid was accepted, and the sale closed on August 26. It was purchased by a mom-and-pop homebuilder who lives in the Harold Bell Wright neighborhood. Their plan is to divide it back into two lots and put two homes on it. The next steps for GHCA are to do the final tax filings, distribute the money either as per a proxy vote or as was stated in the January letter posted on this website, then close down the corporation.

On October 21, a letter was mailed to all owners of lots in Green Hills, asking if we could donate all proceeds from the sale of the Green Hills Pool to Hudlow Elementary's PTA, to be used toward a community garden and rainwater harvesting. Included with the letter was a proxy voting card to be returned. We need 94 owners to vote in favor of donating the proceeds to the Hudlow PTA, and then we can do it; otherwise, the proceeds will be split between the owners of the 187 lots, one share per lot. - Fritzi
